In accordance with Article 179 of the 1992 Constitution and Section 21 (3) of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016, (Act 921), Minister for Parliamentary Affairs will, on behalf of the President lay before Parliament, the 2021 Budget Statement and Economic Policy of Government on Friday, 12th March, 2021.

As part of the Government’s efforts to develop an efficient national financing framework, the Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Finance, the SDG Unit at the Presidency, the Ghana Statistical Service, together with KPMG and ISSER have been working on the costing of the SDGs in Ghana.

The Programme is for up to US$5.0 billion and will be used to support growth-oriented expenditures in the 2021 Budget and to conduct liability management of both Eurobonds and Domestic Bonds.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed, Hon. Charles Adu Boahen, a former deputy Minister for Finance to act as his representative at the Ministry of Finance as the minister-designate, Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, is away in the United States for medical treatment.

The Ministry of Finance wishes to inform the general public and stakeholders that Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta, the Representative of H.E the President at the Ministry of Finance and Minister-designate for Finance, will travel to the United States of America today for a special medical review.
