The Government of Ghana, through the Deputy Minister for Finance and Chairman of the Black Stars Fundraising Committee, Thomas Nyarko Ampem, has received significant financial contributions from corporate institutions and stakeholders to support the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Leading the contributions, Engineers and Planners made a payment of US$2 million as part of its pledged US$5 million. Timeline and Innovation also contributed GH100,000 toward the fund.
Additional donations were received from key financial institutions, including First Bank GHC553,500, GT Bank GHC2,236,000, First Atlantic Bank GHC1,102,000, and the Petroleum Commission GHC500,000.

Speaking on the contribution, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Engineers and Planners, Ibrahim Mahama, reiterated the company’s commitment to fulfilling its pledge, noting that supporting the Black Stars is a contribution to national pride and unity.
The Head of Monitoring at Timeline and Innovation, Pastor Dr Felix Osomboafo, confirmed that his company had redeemed part of its pledge. He indicated that the amount was part payment of a US$300,000 pledge to the support the Black stars.
The Deputy Minister, on behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, expressed profound appreciation to all contributors. He described the gesture as a demonstration of collective commitment toward the success of the national team.
He further assured that the Committee will continue engaging stakeholders to mobilize resources to adequately prepare the Black Stars for the global tournament.
