The U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Louis Ross led a delegation from the Presidential Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa (PAC-DBIA) on a four-day visit to Ghana. The visit was part of a fact-finding mission conducted by the U.S. President’s PAC-DBIA.
The Governments of the Republic of Ghana and the Federal Republic of Germany signed two Agreements in relation to a Financial Cooperation Agreement on the Sound Disposal and Recycling of electric and electronic waste (e-waste) and Loan and Financing Agreements for the Establishment of the Ghana Deposit Protection Scheme on 12th June 2018.

Hon Abena Osei-Asare, a Deputy Minister for Finance today inaugurated a seven-member governing board of the SIC Life Savings & Loans Company Limited to provide guidance and direction to enable the company achieve its short to long term financial and non-financial objectives.
The Intercity State Transport Company (STC) has presented an amount of US$1 million to Government. The amount is the second installment for the payment of a loan from the Government of Ghana. In October 2016, government bought 50 buses for STC at a cost of US$13 million, to aid in their operations.
